Mortlach 7 Years 2014 Very Cloudy Signatory Vintage ABV 40% 700ml

Founded in 1823, Mortlach is one of the few distilleries to practice partial triple distillation (2.81 times exactly). It is fitted with old-fashioned condensers called ‘worm tubes’ and renowned for producing a very delicate distillate with a rich and fruity profile. This version has aged exclusively in ex-bourbon casks giving it notes of sweet spices. Like The Un-Chillfiltered Collection, whiskeys in the Very Cloudy range are bottled from small batches of two to five barrels. Reduced to 40% without chill filtration or coloring, they have a rich, very aromatic profile and have a slightly cloudy appearance. For the most authentic taste experience, they can be eaten at room temperature or slightly chilled to increase their oiliness.
