DESCRIPTION

John Walker & Sons King George V was crafted to celebrate the first Royal Warrant granted to Johnnie Walker to supply Scotch Whisky to the British Royal Household in 1934, a warrant that is still held to this day. It is a rare combination of exquisite Scotch whiskies, drawn from extremely precious rare casks, including irreplaceable whiskies from the now silent distillery of Port Ellen.

Created by Chinese artist Shan Jiang, the new limited edition design features a stunning illustration of the Bai Ze, a mythical creature that symbolises virtuousness, nobility and protection from evil. This elegantly rich and creamy whisky has rarity reflected in every drop and is the perfect gift to the one who never walks alone to mark this year.

TASTING NOTES

Sweet, smoky aromas deepened by Port Ellen are followed by notes of orange and the rich fruit spiciness - raisins, figs and cinnamon. Rich in taste, on the palate there is an abundance of spice and dried fruits derived from the Speyside and Highlands whiskies, this is perfectly balanced with creamy vanilla sweetness, together releasing layer upon layer of flavour: sweet fruits, dark chocolate, toffee, spices and roast nuts. Port Ellen intensifies the maritime Islay smokiness that gathers momentum through the exceptionally long, finish.
