The GlenAllachie Sinteis 4: 2015 Mongolian Virgin Oak / PX Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky ABV 58% 700ml (With Gift Box)

Overview

‘Sinteis’ (pronounced sin-teesh), meaning ‘synthesis’ in Scottish Gaelic, embodies The GlenAllachie’s spirit of cask innovation. Moving beyond the dual-cask approach of previous releases, this boundary-pushing fourth edition unites three distinct wood profiles: initial separate maturation in Spanish Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry casks, expertly married and transferred into rare Mongolian virgin oak.

Distilled in 2015 and aged for 10 years under the watchful eye of Master Distiller Billy Walker, this single malt is bottled at a potent cask strength of 58.5% ABV, non-chill filtered and with natural colour intact.

Tasting Profile

• Nose: Warm baked pastries and butterscotch, followed by brandied orchard fruits, cocoa, and treacle tart, accented with cinnamon and crystallised ginger.

• Palate: Decadent layers of candied hazelnuts, baking spices, and plum syrup, opening up to spiced baked orange, velvety vanilla ice cream, and mocha, rounded out by mānuka honey and rich fig jam.

• Finish: Long, warm, and indulgent with lingering notes of dark chocolate and sweet spice.
