Volume: 700ml
Renowned French whisky importer La Maison du Whisky was founded in 1956—that same year, Gordon & MacPhail laid down a first-fill sherry butt containing single malt from the Glen Grant distillery. The cask was bottled in 2021 to celebrate LMDW’s 65th anniversary, meaning this extremely rare Glen Grant is a staggering 65 years old. The whisky was bottled on 15 December 2021 from first-fill sherry butt #4451, at a cask strength of 55.4%. On the nose, rich sherry aromas combine with toasted hazelnuts and beeswax polish. The palate has smooth dark chocolate flavours, Seville orange zest and ginger. The finish is full with lingering hints of garden mint and charred oak. Only 180 bottles of Glen Grant 65 Years Old Gordon & MacPhail 1956 have been released.
