An independent bottling of Glen Grant distilled in 1985. Not to be confused with similar releases for the 50th anniversary of the Samaroli company in 2018, this is a 2016 bottling commemorating the 50th anniversary of the career of SIlvano himself, which he began in 1965.
Samaroli is perhaps Italy's most revered independent bottler of Scotch whisky. With an impeccable taste in single cask whiskies, and an eye for aesthetics (if not English spelling at times!), he is regarded by many as a visionary. Many of his bottles now occupy deserved sports on the pantheon of whisky greats.
This was drawn at over 30 years old from single cask #10196 under the personal supervision of Samaroli himself.
