This a Montgomerie's Rare Select bottling of Bowmore single malt, aged in a single cask from April 1991 to April 2016. Lovely Islay whisky to be had, right here.
Nose: Hints of smoky peat overlying a creamy, citrus, sweet malt, with both lemon and grapefruit.
Palate: Round citrusy malt – well balanced with some gentle smoky peat.
Finish: Gentle, smoky and spicy.
