Bottled by Amrut in the Single Malts of India range dedicated to bottling whiskies from small, lesser-known Indian distilleries, Kurinji is a single malt sourced from the mountainous region of the same name. Referring to a specific flower in India, it is heady on the nose, fruity on the palate, with a remarkable, sweet and floral finish.
TASTING NOTES
Nose : Floral and fruity with notes of pear and melon. In the background, there are aromas of vanilla and toffee as well as a certain mineral character.
Palate : The palate is fruity with notes of lemon and caramel. The mid-palate is honeyed and vanilla, complemented by the arrival of creamy toffee and flowers. The finish is delicately woody, enlivened by notes of ginger candy.
Finish : Medicinal, with flavors of plantain and lemon.
