DESCRIPTION
The Yoichi is one of the best – if not the best – whisky from Japan. It won the world whisky awards as the Best Single Malt back in 2008, and was also named by the Whisky Magazine as the best of the best in 2001 due to its rave reviews. Our bartender here at dekantā tells us, without even a hint of hesitation, that Nikka Yoichi Peaty & Salty is the best whisky in Japan. Perhaps, one day, competitors will make better whiskies, he said, but that day is not coming any time soon.
