CHICHIBU ON THE WAY Floor Malted 2024
Made from 100% ground-malted barley, an artisanal process introduced by Chichibu in 2008, this single malt is a blend of whiskies aged between 9 and 15 years.
These whiskies are aged in a variety of casks, including bourbon, sherry puncheons, mizunara hogsheads, wine casks and chibidaru (Chichibu’s characteristic small casks).
Bottled at 54.5% alcohol, without chill filtration or coloring, it is limited to 12,000 bottles, reflecting the authenticity and richness of the distillery’s distinctive aromas.
Tasting Notes
Nose : Prominent notes of white peach, honey, pre-toasted bread and a hint of mint.
Palate : Similar to the nose peach and pear comes to mind, followed mouthfeel reminisce of maple syrup.
Finish : Long and lingering notes of sweet fruity goodness
