Uitvlugt 1990 Year Old Rum Sponge Cask Edition No.4 ABV 55% 70CL with Gift Box

Our fourth edition of Rum Sponge is a delicious, ester-rich, concentrated and extremely satisfying single cask of Uitvlugt 1990, bottled at 30 years of age with very slight reduction to a muscular 55% ABV. 

Please note: we do not only bottle Caroni and Uitvlugt - other tasty rum names and types will follow. 

The label for this bottling celebrates the Sponge playing with his friends, the Esters. 

Nose: Caramelized brown sugar at first, then immediately more medicinal with soft and intricate notes of bandages, seawater, antiseptic and slightly fermenting bananas. Big, robust, charismatic rum that shows great complexity from the age.

Palate: Once again this natural sweetness combines beautifully with complex medicines, seawater, pickling juices, martini notes and hints of green olive, verbenaand lighter exotic fruit tones. Rewards patience and water.
