With their typical large glass roofs, intricate ironwork, and detailed facades, the department stores bear witness to the innovations in the world of commerce and French architecture in the second half of the 19th century. It is in reference to this Parisian history that Chichibu dedicates its Paris Edition 2023, an exceptional blend crafted by Ichiro Akuto. Five label versions have been designed to represent each of the facades of these iconic buildings in the commercial and architectural history of the capital. Derived from a blend of Chichibu aged in bourbon casks, quarter casks (chibidaru), and five to seven-year-old hogsheads made from different barley varieties, some of which were manually malted, the Paris Edition 2023 shines with harmony. Intensely fruity, delicately medicinal, and remarkably fresh, its aromatic and gustatory palette dances to the rhythm of extremely refined peat, reaching its peak right at the beginning of the palate.
