This 1989 vintage Bowmore has been released as part of Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular series. Distilled in November 1989, it was aged in refill hogshead 10581 for 25 years yielding 576 bottles in December 2014. This has notes of smoke, honey and fudge.

Gently maritime, oceanic &coastal + a drift of smoke & some light tar
PALATE
Sweetly phenolic - showing soot, smoke & iodine amongst honey & fudge
FINISH
Long, ashy & peated (sweetly) with a distinct barley sugar character.
