A fruity pie of a dram, distilled at Glentauchers in 1989 and bottled 30 years later by Hunter Laing for the Old & Rare range. The years in oak have added a background of spice and caramel with the distillery's orchard and citrus fruit character spread thickly on top, dotted with soft burst of green herbs. A long and complex whisky.
This golden whisky has a nose of apple crumble, caramel sauce, brown sugar, and cinnamon. The palate is fruity with oranges, honey, strawberry, and green tea. The finish is long and powerful, with lingering pepper and spice.
