A fantastic gift set from one of Scotland’s very smallest distilleries. This pack sees three 20cl bottles of the distillery’s core line up presented for your delectation. These are: the classic entry-level 10 year old, the Organic, and the Peat Smoke.
The 10 year old is a lovely Speyside dram, extremely approachable with notes of toffee, warm barley, spices and fruit. Bottled at 43% ABV for a little extra power.
Benromach Organic was the first whisky to be accredited by the UK’s Soil Association, the leading authority on organic produce. An oaky and delicious dram, drinkers should expect an intense malty goodness and fruity flavour. This whisky was matured in new oak and is bottled at 43% ABV. The whisky was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2014.
Benromach Peat Smoke is, as the name suggests, Benromach’s peated offering. At one point, most Speyside whisky was peated, so this is something of a throwback from Benromach. Peated to 67ppm, this is a wonderfully smoky, and citrusy whisky, with a great peppery flavour. The whisky is bottle at 46% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouring.
